Steps After Salvation

So you have made your commitment and accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. You are ready to go forward and live your life for God everyday at home, in your work, at school or wherever you may be.

You are ready to learn and are hungry for God’s word as it relates to your everyday living and are looking forward to experiencing God’s work in your life.

Here are four things that I hope will help you in your walk with God.

1. Read your Bible everyday: This helps you to grow in your faith. It’s extremely important that you develop a habit of daily Bible study. I use a book called Open Windows, available through LifeWay. It has a Bible verse along with a short story each day and also a read the Bible through in a year schedule.

2. Pray: Prayer is simply talking with God. It’s important that you pray each day and preferably many times during the day. You can talk to God at any time. It doesn’t have to be at a certain time but it helps to get in the habit of praying each day. For instance set aside a few minutes each morning upon arising to pray to God for that day.

3. Church: Get into a church where Christ is proclaimed. It doesn’t really matter so much about the denomination you join but you need to have fellowship with others that are believers. It helps to strengthen you and helps you grow.

4. Witness: Be a witness for Christ by your actions in everyday life. Put a smile on your face when you’re at work or school. Go out of your way to help or befriend a person in need and show them Christ’s love. Let people know that you are a totally changed person by the way you live your life and by your actions. Nothing can go as far to be a great witness for Christ as living by example.

Lastly, since you are a new person in Christ, the Devils attacks on your spirit as well as your faith will probably start to increase. The Devil will try to make you doubt that you were ever saved and even try to make you think that all this Christian stuff is not even real, or that God isn’t listening to you when you pray.

1 Peter 5:8 says, Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. NIV

Stand strong and firm in your faith and make all the things above a habit and your journey with your wonderful Savior and Lord Jesus Christ will be easier.

    12PM & 9PM EST.

1 Thessalonians 5:16Rejoice evermore. 17Pray without ceasing. 18In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. 19Quench not the Spirit.

We are having an hour of prayer twice a day. The hours are everyday at 12PM & 9PM EST. At these times we would appreciate all who will & can to start praying when the clock strikes the hour. Please try your best to participate in both hours of prayer, but if you cannot join in both, please try to participate in one of the two. Please don’t participate if you cannot do so in a completely safe environment! Please remember that at these times we all have the opportunity to be of one spiritual mind & accord. We will unify the spirit in the bond of peace! This will be a blessing for all who participate and even those who cannot!

Ephesians 4:3Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. 4There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; 5One Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

Acts 2:46And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, 47Praising God, and having favour with all the people.

Acts 3:1Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour.

Even though in this world the church is made up of many different denominations, we are all one body (church) of Jesus Christ our Lord! I humbly ask that each church or person that receives this letter participate in these “UNIFIED HOUR’S OF PRAYER!”. The Lord has put this on my heart in a very strong way, through prayer, bible study, and meditation.

Romans 12: 4 For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: 5 So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.

With all the Love God has given me that is not of myself but a gift from God, I pray you all Gods many Blessings! One Faith! One Spirit! One Mind! On Accord! Glory to God!

Please feel free to share this with your Church leaders, friends, family, and others!

TRUST IN THE LORD MINISTRIES!, “UNIFIED HOUR’S OF PRAYER!” is being sent to all Churches, to overseas Missions, and a number of Pastors on two seperate Continents! Please join us in the spirit of unity, and the bond of peace!
