Doctrine Of Grace ( Part 1 )

Grace, definition – The unearned or unmerited favor of God.
Application – Although we aren’t worthy we all receive (sometimes unawares,) God’s Grace. We can never repay God for all that He’s done for us through Christ Jesus.
Scripture reading – For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. JOHN 1:17

Salvation, definition- deliverance from the power and penalty of sin; redemption. (
Application: Mankind being fallen through Adam and Eve was acquitted through the blood and sacrifice of the Cross of Christ Jesus.
Scripture reading: For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, 1 THESSALONIANS 5:9

Freedom From Sin, : Sin: transgression of divine law: the sin of
Application: The power of the Cross frees us from the bondage of sin.
Scripture reading: You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:6-8)

Sole provider of ‘grace through faith’ (another free gift to mankind.) For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God” (Ephesians 2:8) The Lord was tempted as we are, yet remaining sinless.

Filled with the holy Spirit, Jesus returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the desert for forty days, to be tempted by the devil. He ate nothing during those days, and when they were over he was hungry. When the devil had finished every temptation, he departed from him for a time. Jesus returned to Galilee in the power of the Spirit, and news of him spread throughout the whole region. (Luke 4:1-3,13-14)

Salvation is a free gift.  “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God” (Ephesians 2:8) Christ was crucified and died in our place.
